More and more this thought lingers in my mind.

i'll use the context of a physically abusive relationship. when a man beats the woman. and slowly with every punch, she get nearer to her death.

and then there's the scenario where there is no physical abuse but the man is pretty much throwing some verbal punches. the "you're useless" type, pushed or shoved around and eventually, the woman looks like she's lots all her life. in her eyes and her actions. she basically ceases to exist and is a walking shadow.

which one is worse?in the world that we live in, the physical takes preeminence and as a result, the man who physically abused the woman would be looked down upon by society to the point of possible imprisonment.
the other case, no one really takes any notice and the woman dies in silence.in fact she is probably mocked or something... what do we say to or about people who look un-alive?

sometimes i think the second scenario is worse because the scars aren't seen. and the woman might even wish to be physically beaten to justify the hurt she feels.

why do some people cut themselves and feel better after cutting themselves?

I think Christ sees the two scenarios just as bad, equal in their evil. He sees human intentions as actions that have already occurred.

Only the One called LOVE can heal that.
